Cherry Pudding Cake
Ingredients
  • 2 T shortening
  • 1 C sugar
  • 1 C milk
  • 2 C flour
  • 2 t baking powder
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1 C hot water
  • 1 C sugar
  • 2 C pitted tart cherries
Instructions
  1. Mix shortening and 1 cup of sugar.
  2. Add milk, flour, salt and baking powder. Pour into deep dish.
  3. Mix cherries, 1 cup sugar and hot water. Pour over cake batter.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour.
  5. Serve warm with ice cream.
