About Us

View of the Farm from 32nd AveDeKleine Orchards, LLC has been a family owned business for over 60 years. Presently we have 1700 chestnut trees and 1000 sweet and tart cherry trees. The original fruit farm was 20 acres of peaches. We now have 10 acres of cherries, and 17 acres of chestnuts.

The pick-your-own cherries are typically ready around the 4th of July, sometimes earlier and some years later.

The Forest Grove Chestnuts begin about the middle of October and continue until the end of the year. They will be for sale at the farm during the fall season.

The Forest Grove name originated from the 160 year old community where the farm is located. It is too small to have a post office, but those who live here call it home.

We are members of a cooperative called Chestnut Growers Inc., as well as the Midwest Nut Producers Council. The owners have a love for growing trees that only a farmer at heart can explain.
