Cherry Pie
Ingredients
  • top & bottom pie crust
  • 4 cups fresh tart cherries (with liquid)
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Drain fresh tart cherries, reserving the liquid
  3. Toss sugar with the cherries. Add flour and stir.
  4. Place cherry mixture in the pie crust, then add 1/4 cup reserved juice to the pie.
  5. Place the top pie crust on the pie. Slit the top crust or use a lattice style and crimp the sides to seal.
  6. Cover edges of pie with foil.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes with the foil.
  8. Continue baking 45 more minutes without the foil.
