| Apple and Chestnut Compote |

Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. fresh Forest Grove chestnuts
- 3 Granny Smith apples
- 1 lemon
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 Tablespoons honey
- 2 Tablespoons white wine (optional)
- whipped cream
Instructions
- Roast and peel the chestnuts (refer to chestnut cooking & storing tips).
- Peel, core and slice the apples into slender wedges. Zest and juice the lemon.
- Combine all ingredients except the wine in a sauce pan and simmer with a lid over a low heat for 10 minutes.
- Add the wine and chill.
- Serve with wipped cream.
